Crackdown continues as many illegal rickshaws, vehicles challaned, impounded

QUETTA: The crackdown against the illegal rickshaws and vehicles is continued in the provincial metropolis as several rickshaws and vehicles were either challaned and impounded or issues warning on violation of the traffic rules as well as directives of the concerned authorities.
The Secretary PTA, Abdul Khaliq Mandokhail personally supervised the campaign along with Secretary Regional Transport Authority (RTA), Amanullah Panezai, Motor Vehicle Examiner, Ghous Bakhsh Kurd, other concerned officials of the Traffic Police.
Also present on the occasion was the General Secretary of Quetta Rickhshaw Union, Ghulam Muhammad.
The PTA Secretary said that action has been taken against over 30 rickshaws and vehicles plying illegally in the city.
They were challaned while eight others were impounded as well.
Even number of rickshaws and vehicles were also issued warning directing their owners / divers to carry the valid documents including the fitness certificates and route permits.
The PTA Secretary warned that the crackdown would remain continued in future as well. No one would be spared in the campaign launched in the city and other parts, he maintained.
Abdul Khaliq Mandokhail said that it is endeavor of the government to provide all possible facilities to the passengers. In this regard, the transporters have been made bound to follow the instructions given in this regard, he added.
