Levies force to be provided modern facilities: DC

QUETTA: Every possible measures are being taken to build up capacity of the Levies force and thus improve law and order situation in the “B” areas.
This was stated by the Deputy Commissioner Quetta, Dawood Khan Khilji while handing over keys of the vehicles to Levies Thana Incharges in the Levies Line, the other day.
The Deputy Commissioner said that the necessary arrangements are being made for modern training of Levies force so that they are capable to counter terrorism and other crimes in their areas of jurisdiction.
The necessary maintenance of the Levies thanas is also being made in addition to provision of vehicles, modern equipment and weapons to the force as per the prevailing circumstances, the Deputy Commissioner maintained.
The initiatives being taken would help eliminate the crimes and criminal elements besides preventing smuggling of different things in their respective areas, he said.
Rather, the law and order situation has generally been improved, Dawood Khilji mentioned.
He on the occasion applauded performance of the Levies force saying that the Levies personnel are rendering services with dedication and commitment. The morale of the Levies force would improve further after provision of modern vehicles, weapons and other facilities, he believed.
He hoped that the Levies force would keep on serving the masses with the same spirit in future as well.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner inspected the ongoing construction work in the Levies Line.
