University of Balochistan: 98th meeting of Board of Advance Studies and Research held

QUETTA: The 98th meeting of Board of Advance Studies and Research of University of Balochistan (UOB) was held here the other day.
Vice Chancellor of UoB, Professor Dr. Javed Iqbal presided over.
Those who were present in the meeting were included: Pro-Vice Chancellor of UoB, Professor Dr. Mehrab Khan Baloch, Dean of various faculties, Registrar, Muhammad Tariq Jogezai and other concerned.
The meeting discussed the procedure of admissions in the M.Phil, Ph.D programmes as well as examinations.
The launching of new courses in different disciplines was also discussed during the meeting.
The overall performance report of the University was also shared and discussed in detail.
Moreover, certain decisions were made on the occasion.
Addressing the meeting, the Vice Chancellor said that the challenges of modern era could be faced by evolving fine strategy and making good planning.
He also said that the University is providing ample opportunities of studies and research to the scholars.
The Ph.D and M. Phil degrees are being awarded to the scholars every year, he maintained.
A large number of students have got them enrolled for Ph.D and M. Phil programmes in the University, which shows their confidence in the higher studies being imparted, he mentioned.
In the end, Professor Javed Iqbal thanked all the Board members on their participation and cooperation.
