RAWALPINDI, September 21 (Online): Non grant of promotion to the dispensers working in government colleges since long has caused embarrassment among them.

The dispensers employed in medical colleges and allied hospitals have been promoted to Basic Pay Scale BPS-9

The dispensers appointed in the dispensaries of government colleges were not promoted to BPS-9 as they were omitted in the notification issued by health department.

These dispensers have drawn the attention of the government towards this injustice being done to them on several occasions but all their efforts have proved fruitless. A good number of dispensers have resigned from service being disappointed due to non promotion to next scale.

Several of the dispensers had quit their job at hospitals and joined the dispensaries of colleges but they still stand deprived of their legitimate right of promotion.

Dispensers from over one dozen colleges of Rawalpindi district including Asghar Mall post graduate college and satellite Town College have appealed to the chief minister of Punjab to direct the health department to issue notification of their promotion to BPS-9 immediately.
