QUETTA: A one-day workshop on development industry technologies was held at the University of Balochistan here.
The workshop was organized by the Research Innovation Commercialization of the UoB in collaboration with the Institute of Research Promotion Pakistan.
Vice Chancellor of UoB, Professor Dr. Javed Iqbal was the chief guest.
Focal Person of the Institute of Research Promotion, Rehmat Ali, Professor Farida Lodhi of Fatima Jinnah University, Registrar of Sardar Bahadur Khan Women University, Dr. Naheed Haq, Registrar of UoB, Tariq Jogezai, Dr. Waheed Noor, heads of different faculties and departments and other senior teachers attended the workshop.
The Focal Person Rehmat Ali highlighted the aims and objectives of the workshop. He said that the educational institutions play important role in creating material and environment for the academic research activities. So, they must be encouraged to do so, he added.
Speaking on the occasion, the Vice Chancellor said that the academic and research activities are important part of the educational institutions, which help progress them.
He termed the workshop very useful and significant for the faculty members and scholars when it comes to talk about building their capacity further.
He assured wholehearted cooperation to the Institute of Research Promotion on behalf of the University he spearheads.
