Shifting of city terminals: ABRA expects timely implementation on decision

QUETTA: All Balochistan Restaurant Association (ABRA) has expressed its gratitude to the Chief Minister, Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch, Provincial Ministers and Mayor Quetta Metropolitan Corporation, Dr. Kalimullah Khan and all others concerned on their decision about shifting of the city bus terminals to the Hazar Ganji area.
In a joint statement issued here, the office bearers of ABRA including its President, Fazal Muhammad Tareen, Musa Kalim, Nasarullah, Abdul Manan Kakar and others said that it had been decided to shift all the bus terminals and truck addahs from different parts of the Quetta city to Hazar Ganji under the Quetta Master Plan in order to lessen the traffic congestion in the city.
It had also been decided to shift the fruit and vegetable markets, garages and the dairy farms, but implementation could not be made on it despite lapse of last 15 years, they mentioned.
The ABRA along with other traders organizations struggled to shift the terminals from city areas to Hazar Ganji. Protest movement was also launched as part of the struggle waged in this regard, they maintained.
Then, on directives of the Chief Minister, a delegation led by the Provincial Minister for Home and Tribal Affairs, Mir Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti and MPA Nasarullah Zairay held negotiations with us over the issue. Afterwards, a meeting was also convened under president ship of Chief Minister on April 19, which decided to shift the bus terminals from the Quetta city to Hazar Ganji area within 10 days.
The office bearers of ABRA hoped that the shifting of the city bus terminals would be made within the stipulated time.
