Ziarat Degree College closed temporarily, Principal, staff placed under suspension

QUETTA: The Secretary Colleges and Higher Education has suspended Principal and all other staff members of the Government Degree College Ziarat. The Ziarat College has also been closed down for time being.
Actually, it was an utter surprise for the Secretary Higher Education, Ghulam Muhammad Sabir when he found all the College staff including Principal absent during his visit to the College.
Also accompanied with him was the Deputy Commissioner Ziarat. The office of the Principal was also closed, not locked fully.
So, the Secretary took the college attendance register with him placing Principal and other staff under suspension.
He also ordered to stop salaries of the college staff. On the other hand, the Secretary also directed to the suspended staff to report to him.
Moreover, he also ordered to close the college temporarily announcing to post new staff there.
It was also ordered to probe into whether the College was opened after the winter vacation and academic activities were also resumed or it is closed since then.
According to the Secretary Higher Education, absenteeism of teachers and staff would not be tolerated in the educational institutions at all.
The provincial government has already expressed zero tolerance in this regard.
