QUETTA: The Provincial Minister WASA and Public Health Engineering (PHE), Nawab Muhammad Ayaz Khan Jogezai and Advisor to Chief Minister for Education, Sardar Raza Muhammad Barech has said that all available resources are being mobilized to resolve the problems, which we inherited from the past.
This and similar views, they expressed while addressing a seminar on “we are making bright Pakistan together†arranged by the Kuchlak Welfare Society here the other day.
They said that provision of education and health facilities is included in priorities of the government. Addressing on the occasion, Sardar Raza Muhammad Barech said that our province is largest in term of area. It is spread on a vast area with over 23,000 settlements, he mentioned.
There are some 13,000 schools in these settlements, he maintained.
We have to bridge the gap by establishing more educational institutions and recruiting more teachers so as to impart education to every child in the province, he stressed.
We want to see every child in school, this is why the record allocation was made for education sector in the province increasing to 24 percent from previous four percent, he further mentioned.
Still 75 percent of the total budget allocated for education sector is spent on non-development expenditures, he noted with concern adding that only 25 percent of the total budget is utilized on development side.
We invite the foreign donors to come forward and contribute in the cause of education in the province as the government can’t do any thing in isolation, Sardar Raza Barech stressed.
In this regard, the public and private sector would also have to come forward and join hands with the government in its efforts being made for promotion of education in the province. He said that we are brining about reforms in the education sector. In this context, recruitments of teachers are being made through National Testing Service (NTS), he mentioned.
Nawab Ayaz Jogezai on the occasion said that we need time to resolve the issues we have inherited from the past.
He said that the government is paying special heed on quality education in the province so that our students may compete at the international level.
He noted with contentment that 25 new schools have been opened in Killa Saifullah while two girls colleges would also be established there soon.
