QUETTA: A leader of National Party, Muhammad Usman Lango has stressed that political point scoring should not be made under the garb of the anti-measles campaign or in the name of those children affected reportedly from the measles vaccine.
In a statement issued here, the measles vaccine has been provided by the World Health Organization (WHO). It has not been produced anywhere in the country, he maintained.
He also pointed out that thousands of children have so far been administered vaccination against measles during the ongoing campaign.
If there was any fault in the vaccine then God forbids there could have been more problem, he said.
Lango also stressed the need to wait for the report of inquiry committee formed for investigation into the cases of children affected from the measles vaccine in the province.
Until then no baseless propaganda should be made in this regard, adding he stressed further.
