Development of agri. sector in Balochistan: Declaration of 2015 as Year of Agriculture a good omen: Buzdar

QUETTA: A high level meeting of the Agriculture Department was held in connection with declaration of year 2015 as the year of agriculture in Balochistan.
The Secretary Agriculture, Abdul Rehman Buzdar chaired the meeting. Those who attended were included: Director General (Extension), Yar Muhammad Pindrani, Director General (Water Management), Abdul Wahab, Director General (Agriculture Research Institute), Dr. Javed Tareen, Director General (Agriculture Engineering), Abdul Manan Raisani, Principal Agriculture College, Muhammad Aslam Niazi, Director In-service Academy, Dr. Amanullah Salarzai, Director Planning, Inamul Haq Shinwari, Director Headquarter, Muhammad Naeem, Professor Dr. Arif Shah, Director Marking, Abdus Sattar Shah, Director P&S, Masood Baloch, Director Farms besides the deputy directors and other concerned officials.
Addressing the meeting, the Secretary Agriculture pointed out that the Chief Minister, Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch had declared year 2015 as the year of Agriculture. By declaring 2015 the year of Agriculture, the Chief Minister has supported the growers and agriculture workers of the province.
Therefore, it becomes responsibility of the Agriculture Officers and staff to strive for materializing the approach and vision set in this regard, he stressed.
Buzdar believed that stabilizing agriculture of the province would mean development of the province. So we have to stabilize and boost the agriculture sector in order to achieve the goal of development and prosperity, he stressed.
He also said that strengthening of the agriculture sector would also bring development and prosperity in our rural areas, besides providing job opportunities to the people
