QUETTA: The Mayor Quetta Metropolitan Corporation (QMC), Dr. Kalimullah Khan has underlined the need to expedite the work on the development schemes with the aim to execute the same by the end of current financial year 2014-15.
He was addressing the meeting held to review implementation on the budget of current financial year the other day.
The meeting was informed that since two months are remaining in the financial year, so it is not possible to utilize the remaining amount allocated in the budget for development schemes in short span of time. So, it was decided to expedite the complete work on the development schemes, where it could be done in the next couple of months.
The Mayor QMC on the occasion urged the Principal Officers to endeavour hard to complete work on the maximum schemes
He also urged them to prepare the collective nature schemes for the next financial year 2015-16 so that the maximum people may benefit from them.
It is in interest that such schemes are prepared which benefit the larger population, he stressed. He said that the public funds are “amanat†(deposit) of the people, so we have to ensure their just utilization.
It would also help resolve the civic issues being faced by people in the provincial metropolis, he maintained.
