QUETTA: The universities should pay attention on the social entrepreneurship in order to put an end to unemployment.
This was stated by the President of Yes Network Pakistan, Ali Raza while addressing a ceremony regarding awareness and performance about the social entrepreneurship project being launched in collaboration with Yes and USAID here the other day.
The educationists from all over the province attended the ceremony.
Ali Raza maintained that the project is aimed at introducing the concept of social entrepreneurship to the educational institutions affiliated with the High Education Commission for the first time in the province, build their capacity and provide different opportunities so they may generalize the education of social entrepreneurship and provide necessary opportunities to their students and teachers in the province, he maintained.
This would help them to play their role in resolving the existing issues of the society, he believed.
Ali Raza mentioned that the project was launched in five institutions affiliated with the Higher Education Commission.
Under the project, social entrepreneurship education was imparted to 20 teachers and students for the first time.
Moreover, over 275 students were provided the opportunity to prepare and initiate such projects utilizing their potential which may remove the sense of deprivation in the society, he added.
