Improper use of funds main reason behind backwardness

QUETTA: The central leader of Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) and Chairman Senate’s Standing Committee on Port and Shipping, Sardar Fateh Muhammad Muhammad Hassani has said that improper use of the resources and funds is main reason behind its backwardness.
He was talking to a delegation of the elders, who called on him under leadership of Mir Hazar Khan Panhwar the other day.
Sardar Muhammad Hassani said that Balochistan is blessed with immense natural resources, but these are not being used properly, as a result it is experiencing backwardness.
He said that Saindak and Reko dik are major projects of the country, but they are being overlooked. These important projects are being ignored continuously, he regretfully pointed out.
The government should devise its course of action soon to benefit from these projects so that the province could be steered out from the economic backwardness, he stressed further.
The Chairman of Senate’s Standing Committee also stressed the need to pay attention towards interests of the province in the agreements made with China by the federal government.
He hoped that the province would get due status and it would be given due importance as well.
