Crackdown continues against sale of poor quality edibles

QUETTA: The crackdown against sale of the sub-standard edibles is continued in different parts of the provincial metropolis.
The Assistant Commissioner City, Tariq Mengal and the Special Magistrates are personally supervising the campaign in this regard.
As part of the campaign, at least 11 shops selling poor quality spices were sealed by the district administration.
The action was taken by the raiding team headed by the Assistant Commissioner Quetta city, Tariq Mengal at the Circular road.
Meanwhile, samples of dry milk were also collected from some 25 shops located on the Shahrah-e-Iqbal and Sirki Road and were sent to the laboratory for examination and quality check.
While on the other hand, the Special Magistrate, Syed Shafi Agha also conducted raids on different shops in Satellite Town area. He charged some 13 shopkeepers fine of Rs. 13,000 taking action against the hoarders and profiteers there.
Needless to mention here is that the action has been taken against the profiteers, adulteration and encroachers on special directives of the Deputy Commissioner, Dawood Khan Khilji.
