QUETTA May 28 (PPI): There are five percent people who create chaos and impose their will upon 90 percent innocent people in the city. But we warn them they should refrain from such terrorism. People of Quetta are brothers and would take measures for the betterment of City. Security forces should take action against terrorists to provide security. These are business community which suffers most during such incidents.
This was stated by Mayor Quetta Dr Kaleemullah at a Press conference here Thursday. President Anjuman Tajiran Abdul Rahim Kakar leader of Majlis Wahdat Muslimeen Allama Hashim Musavi and others were also present.
Dr Kaleemullah said incidents took place in Quetta in recent days not only mourned people of Quetta but also involved them in fear. He said on May 12 an incident of terror took place near Qalandar Makan in which three persons were killed and two injured. After this incident some people restored to firing and created fear and panic in various parts but injured five people. Of these one succumbed to his injuries. Another injured also died.
He said on May 24 a businessman Fazal Muhammad Tareen died on the spot in firing incident and his brother Suleman was injured.
On May 25 armed men opened fire in Kandahari Bazaar in which a shopkeeper Muhammad Anwar died and a passerby was injured. Sometime later armed men resorted to firing at Saleem Complex in which two persons were killed and two women sustained injuries.
He said yesterday in an incident of target killing at MeConghy road in which two persons were killed and another sustained serious injuries.
He said after these incidents District government, administration and Businessmen adopted a joint course of action that we would work jointly to check such incidents and would not adopt any such reaction among them and would work for unity, solidarity, religious tolerance which may lead to further bloodshed. He said there are only 5 percent such people while 90 percent are innocent and five percent want to impose their will on them.
He said we appeal to security forces and other agencies to take full action against terrorists and ensure security to life of the people.
