Governing body of QDA meets, approves budget for previous & new financial years

QUETTA: The Governing Body of Quetta Development Authority (QDA) met with its Chairman and Provincial Minister for Planning and Development, Dr. Hamid Khan Achakzai in the chair here the other day.
The meeting approved the revised budget of the previous financial year 2014-15 as well as the new financial year 2015-16.
Those who were present in the meeting were included the Board of Directors, QDA, Advisor to Chief Minister for Education, Sardar Raza Muhammad Barech, Member Provincial Assembly, Nasarullah Zairay, Station Commander, Brigadier Muhammad Naseer Raja, Secretary QDA, Imran Zarkoon, Secretary Urban Planning and Development, Akhtar Muhammad Kakar, Additional Secretary Law Department, Muhammad Qasim Bashir, Director General QDA, Noor Ahmed Pirkani, Under Secretary Finance, Aurangzaib Kasi, Chief of Section, Planning and Development Department, Abdul Bari Khan, besides other concerned high ups.
Addressing the meeting, the Chairman QDA said that we are public representatives and as such it is our responsibility to come up to their expectations.
He also said that Quetta is the only city which belongs to all.
We have to work together and mutual understanding for betterment of the Quetta city and solution of the issues being faced by its people, Dr. Hamid Khan Achakzai stressed.
Moreover, certain important decisions were also made regarding promotion of the QDA officers, allotment of the plots for different projects and other administrative affairs.
Earlier, the Secretary QDA, Imran Zarkoon and DG Noor Ahmed Pirkani briefed the participants about the budget.
The governing body gave approval to the budget of QDA. It was also expressed the hope that the QDA would improve its performance further through more reforms in it.
