No room of corruption in Excise Department: Jaffar Mandokhail Minister Excise and Taxation stresses we would have to launch operation clean-up against corruption

QUETTA: The Minister for Excise and Taxation, Sheikh Jaffar Khan Mandokhail has categorically stated that there is no room of corrupt and negligent officers and employees in the Excise and Taxation Department.
This, he stated while chairing a meeting of the Department here the other day. The high ups of the Excise and Taxation Department including the Secretary and Director General and others were in attendance at the meeting.
The Minister Excise on the occasion remarked that the corruption evil still exists in the Excise and Taxation Department.
However, we would have to launch operation clean-up against corruption, he pledged.
Sheikh Jaffar Mandokhail said that the officers and other staff would have to show their performance, otherwise they would be removed.
He said that the manner we have brought improvement in the Revenue and Transport departments through certain reforms, we would also be putting the Excise and Taxation department on the right track so that the people may get relief.
The Minister asserted that we want visible change in the affairs of Excise Department. He also hinted at bringing major reforms in the Department after Eidul Fitr.
