Security of prisons beefed up

QUETTA: The security of all the prisons in Balochistan including Quetta District Jail has been beefed up.
According to the Deputy Inspector General of Prisons Balochistan, Bashir Ahmed Bangulzai, the additional deployment of the Prisons’ staff has been made in and around the Jails owing to the security threats. The cooperation of the FC and other concerned law enforcement agencies would also be there to the Prisons department.
The leaves of the Superintendents, Deputy Superintendents of Jails as well as other concerned staff have also been cancelled owing to the situation, the senior official of Prisons Department told.
They have been directed to remain present at their respective duty places. Stern action would be taken against those found absent from their duties, he warned.
Moreover, special arrangements have also been made for meeting of the prisoners with their beloved ones on eve of Eidul Fitr.
