PDMA ready to tackle the emergent situation following torrential rains, says Minister

QUETTA: The Provincial Minister for Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), Mir Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti has stated that we are prepared to tackle any emergent situation emerged following the rainfall and flashflood in the province.
Talking to a News agency here, the Minister PDMA said that the leaves of the concerned employees have been cancelled and they have been asked to be present on their respective duty places so as to tackle the emerging situation well. The PDMA and the administration has been put on high alert in view of the Monsoon rains all over the province, he maintained.
Mir Sarfraz Bugti mentioned that he is in contact with the Chief Minister, Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch and Army’s Southern Command over the issue. If needed, the federal government would also be approached, he maintained.
He said that presently we have relief goods including blankets, ration and other items. We would not be leaving the people in isolation, he asserted adding that if need arises, the emergency could also be declared to tackle the situation emerged following the flashflood.
