QUETTA: A seminar was held under the auspices of Provincial Youth Forum here at the Quetta Press Club the other day.
The Provincial Minister for Youth Affairs, Culture and Sports Minister, Mir Mujeebur Rehman Muhammad Hassani was the chief guest.
Also present on the occasion were the spokesman of Chief Minister, Jan Muhammad Buledi, Member Provincial Assembly, Dr. Shama Ishaq Baloch, leader of National Party, Dr. Ishaq Baloch, Additional Secretary Youth and others.
The youth who made distinction in different sectors in very young age were also invited in the function. They were paid tributes for their achievements they made on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister Youth Affairs said that the government is working on formulation of the Youth Police as the powers in this regard have been devolved to the provinces and so to Balochistan after passage of 18th amendment.
He said that youth are future and as such the government has allocated a huge amount for them in the budget.
The amount would be spent for polishing and utilization of their talent besides providing them the necessary opportunities to excel in sports and other sectors.
We have to prepare such policies that benefit youth in a big way enabling them to play their effective role in the province’s and country’s development and prosperity of their people, the Minister stressed.
Jan Muhammad Buledi on the occasion said that youth are on priority of the provincial government, and so certain steps are being taken to enhance their talent and other hidden potential.
He also said that the Chief Minister Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch played important role in passage of the 18th amendment in the country.
Addressing the seminar, Dr. Shama Ishaq Baloch said that youth of the province are second to none in qualities and talent, what they need proper platform and opportunities to show and prove their talent, she maintained.
She also said that the policies are being formulated to benefit the younger generation. It is now responsibility of the youth to take advantage of the same and excel, she stressed.
The Additional Secretary Youth Affairs said that it is our responsibility to resolve the issues being faced by the youth.
He said that the Youth Police would be evolved soon as work is in progress on it.
