Eid congregations to be held at over 250 places

QUETTA: The Eidul Azha congregations have been arranged in over 250 central mosques, Eid gahs and open places today (Friday) in the provincial metropolis and the surrounding areas.
Special security arrangements have been adopted to avert any untoward incidents on the eve of Eid congregations.
Walk through gates have been set up for screening of the faithfuls entering the premises of Eid gahs and mosques.
The main Eid congregation is scheduled to be held at 08:00 AM at the central Eid Gah located on Toghi Road here. Maulana Muhammad Younas would lead the Eid prayer there.
The Governor Balochistan, Muhammad Khan Achakzai and Chief Minister, Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch besides other prominent personalities, politicians and elders are also likely to offer their Eid prayer.
Other main venues where the Eid congregations are scheduled to be held are included: Jamia Masjid Shahbaz Town, Liaquat Bazaar, Jamia Masjid Gol, Satellite Town, Special High School, Balochi Jamia Masjid, Jamia Masjid Aqsa, Jamia Masjid Malik Sikandar, Sandeman High School Ground, GOR Colony, Jamia Masjid Sultan, A-One City, Jamia Masjid, BMC Main Hostel, Jamia Masjid Shafi Colony and Sandeman High School, Jamia Matlaul Uloom, Brewery road, Wahdat Colony, Tameer-e-Nau Public College Ground, Jamia Masjid Chaman Housing, Kasi Eid Gah, McCongy road, Railway Football Ground, Jamia Masjid Doctors Colony, BMC, Rind Gargh, Takhtani Eastern by-pass, Tauhidi Masjid, Jamia Masjid Usman, McCongy road, Noorani Jamia Masjid, Jamia Masjid Haji Wali, Pashtoonabad, Eid Gah Killi Umar Khan, Markazi Eid Gah, Jail Road, Jamia Masjid Darbar-e-Yousafia, Jail Road, Jamia Masjid Arbab Town, besides others.
Security tightened:
The security plan has been finalized for the Eidul Azha here in the metropolis.
Under the security plan, the security of the Eid congregations, bazaars and other sensitive places has particularly been beefed up after two bomb explosions of Hazara Town and Spinny road that hit the metropolis on Friday last.
In all some 165 mosques are being provided extra security in view of the security situation, the official sources of the Home department said.
The official sources also said that the leaves of the senior police officers and the personnel have already been cancelled directing them to remain present at their respective duty places.
According to the sources, the security has been beefed up owing to the law and order situation in the metropolis.
The police as well as law enforcement agencies (LEAs) have been asked to remain alert particularly during the Eid days.
Additional deployment of the law enforcers has been made in order to avert any untoward incident in the metropolis and other major parts of the province.
In addition to the additional deployment, patrolling of the personnel has also been intensified in different parts of the province. The personnel of Police and other LEAs have also been deployed in surrounding mountains.
The aerial surveillance of the Eid congregations would also be made.
It may be mentioned here that all the Divisional Commissioners, Regional Police Officers (RPOs), Deputy Commissioners, District Police Officers (DPOs) and Assistant Commissioners have been asked to ensure their presence at their respective duty places during the holidays of Eidul Fitr.
