QUETTA: The Provincial Minister for Information, Information Technology, Law and Parliamentary Affairs, Abdul Rahim Ziaratwal has stated that the present government is constantly busy in serving people of the province.
He was addressing a public meetings in different areas of Harnai district the other day. A large number of people announced to join and support the Pashtoonkhaw Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) on the occasion.
Ziaratwal maintained that the government has taken up the issues of the province and its people well and got them recognized at the national and international level through visionary politics.
The development process is continued all over the province and the necessary funds are also being provided for the same so that the people may benefit from the fruits of development, he said.
However, on the other hand, the successful policies and initiatives taken and being taken are not being digested by our opponents, said the Minister Information, who also happens to be the Provincial Secretary of PkMAP and its Parliamentary leader in Balochistan Assembly.
Our opponents are even dreaming of becoming Chief Minister with their very low strength in the assembly, which shows their designs, he pointed out and added that, but, still they would not succeed in their motives.
Referring the development in Harnai district, the Minister, who actually was elected from the same constituency, said that the government has taken certain initiatives to boost the agriculture in the district owing to its potential there.
Harnai is a very important district from natural and mineral resources as well as agriculture, but the people of the district were facing the issues regarding their access to market.
Precisely, the district was ignored vehemently in the past. However, we are determined to compensate the highhandedness meted out with the district in the past and are as such taking action in this regard, Abdul Rahim Ziaratwal said.
Rehabilitation of the Harnai-Sibi railway line and approval of the bridges located on Kach-Harnai and Spin Tangi road and their construction are good news for the people of the district and the work would be started in due course of time, Ziaratwal mentioned.
Moreover, Harnai is also very rich in olive, so we are also focusing on its production at good scale. For the very purpose, nurseries would be established for cultivation of the olive, he noted adding that steps have also been taken for protection and preservation of the Juniper forests in the area.
Meanwhile, the Minister Information also presided over a meeting of the Harnai district officers. The officers briefed the Minister about performance of their respective departments.
He directed them to improve performance further.
