QUETTA: The senior academician and Principal of Government Degree Girls College Quetta Cantonment, Professor Dr. Shagufta Iqbal was honoured at a ceremony here the other day.
The welfare organization, Gehwara-e-Fun had arranged the ceremony in honour of Dr. Shagufta Iqbal.
The Member of Provincial Assembly belonging to National Party, Ms. Yasmin Lehri presided over the ceremony. The Director Youth Affairs, Afzal Sulehri, Principals of different colleges and other personalities attended the ceremony. The participants paid rich tributes to Professor Dr. Shagufta Iqbal.
The chief guest and others said that Dr. Shagufta Iqbal is the senior most female teacher in the province. She has dedicatedly served the cause of female education in the province. She is a very sincere and dedicated teacher, the chief guest commended.
Other speakers also paid homage to the senior professor.
In the end, a commemorative shield was also presented to Professor Shagufta Iqbal on behalf of the Gehwara-e-Fun.
