QESCO continues crack down against power pilferers, defaulters

QUETTA: The Quetta Electric Supply Company (QESCO) is continuing its campaign against power pilferers and defaulters of the electricity bills and dues.
According to the sources of the QESCO, the power connection of a private water supply was disconnected in the Satellite Town area. Similarly, the power connection of the welding shops on Sirki road, two connections of tailor shops on Sariab road and a power connection of dairy farm on Jan Muhammad road was disconnected on the charges of power pilferage.
Moreover, seven domestic connections in Eastern-bypass were also disconnected.
The QESCO sources said that legal action is being taken against those involved in theft of the electricity.
While on the other hand, the power connections of 12 commercial and 34 domestic consumers were also disconnected by the QESCO Gwalandi Sub-Division team in Suraj Ganj bazaar, Masjid road, Shahrah-e-Iqbal and Jan Muhammad road on non-payment of the electricity bills and dues.
Meanwhile, the QESCO Liaquat Bazaar Sub-Division team raided in the areas of Railway Housing Society, McCongy road and Prince Road and disconnected 29 domestic and commercial defaulters.
It has been warned to the consumers to ensure timely payment of the electricity bills and dues, otherwise power supply would be suspended to the defaulters disconnecting their connections.
