Special traffic plan for Ashoura Muharram

QUETTA: Special traffic arrangements have been made by the Traffic Police in connection with the 10th of Muharram in Quetta city.
According to an official hand out issued here by the Senior Superintendent of Traffic Police Quetta, the necessary traffic plan has been prepared in this regard to tackle the traffic situation.
Under the traffic arrangements, no traffic would be allowed to ply towards the route of the Ashoura procession as well as all the roads and lanes leading to the route of the procession would also be fully blocked for routine traffic.
As per the plan, the traffic would be suspended from Masjid road towards Liaquat Bazaar, from Masjid Qandhari cross to Prince road and Gordat Singh road cross, Prince road masjid one way to Junction chowk, from Patel road to Prince road, from Patel road and Gordat Singh road cross to Prince road and Gordat Singh road cross, Ghora hospital (veterinary hospital) McCongy road cross to Safeer Masjid chowk, Cambridge college Khuda-e-Dad road to Safeer Masjid chowk, from Gulistan road to Zonki Ram road, Kansi Sadiq Shaheed cross to Kansi road, Qalandar Makan Kansi road to Nichari road and from Kaghan Hotel to Liaquat Bazaar.
Moreover, the entry of traffic as well as parking would be banned on the Alamdar road, Liaquat Bazaar, Abdus Sattar road, Art School road, Pir Abual Khair road, Mir Khalilur Rehman road, Toghi road and the lanes leading to these roads.
As an alternate route, in the meantime, the traffic would continue to ply on the Quarry road, Patel road, Masjid road, Fatima Jinnah road, Jinnah road, Zarghoon road, Gulistan rpad and Anscomb road.
The Traffic Police has made special arrangements to facilitate the general public in all these areas of the city.
It has been requested to the public to fully cooperate with the Traffic Police so that it may discharge their duties well.
