QUETTA: The Chief Secretary Balochistan, Saifullah Chattha has stated that the law and order situation has been improved in the province to a great extent, and still the provincial government was taking effective measures to improve it (law and order) further.
He was speaking to the participants of the National Institute of Management Course (NIMC) from Karachi and Peshawar, currently on study tour of Balochistan, here the other day.
Also present on the occasion were the Additional Chief Secretary (Development), Naseebullah Khan Bazai, Secretary Finace, Mushtaq Ahmed Raisani and Additional Secretary Home and Tribal Affairs, Noor Ahmed Samo.
The Chief Secretary maintained that development is associated with peace, we have made success in law and order. Law and order situation is improved significantly in the province, he noted with contentment.
After law and order comes education, which is very important for the province, he mentioned adding that education plays important role in development of any area and so in Balochistan province.
That’s education which can help province progress, he stressed.
The provincial government is very serious in this regard, and as such is taking steps to better the educational institutions besides preventing cheating from the examinations, the Chief Secretary mentioned further.
He also pointed out that previously three universities were operating in public sector in Balochistan, but more universities have been established now. While on the other hand, three new medical colleges are also being established in different parts of the province, Mr. Chattha added. The Chief Secretary also answered to the questions as raised by the participants.
Moreover, Additional Chief Secretary (Development), Secretary Finance and Additional Secretary Home and Tribal Affairs briefed the participants about overall functioning of their respective departments.
