Mrs. Allahdin for civil defence training to students

QUETTA: The Chairperson of Tanzim Idara Bahali-e-Mustehqeen (TIBM), Mrs. Surriya Allahdin has underlined the need to impart civil defence training to the students.
In a statement issued here, Mrs. Allahdin said that the entire nation has to be prepared to face the challenges of the natural disasters and the losses caused due to them.
She said that the tremors and aftershocks are threatening for us and as such we should ponder over the precautionary measures to minimize the losses caused due to the disaster.
She stressed that there is a dire need to form committees comprising the government functionaries, civil society, philanthropists, youth and volunteers, which may be ready to tackle any untoward situation in the province.
The Chairperson of TIBM regretfully pointed out that we don’t learn lessons from our mistakes and thus has to face their consequences.
Although the disaster management authorities have been established at the government level but still we lack the spirit of working together in the critical time of disasters.
We put the whole responsibility of dealing with the disasters on shoulder of the army and other forces. We are proud of our armed forces, but we as responsibility citizens of the country it is also our duty to serve, she maintained.
She appealed to the provincial government to immediately form the committees and declare the civil defence training in the educational institutions compulsory for the students.
