QUETTA: The Executive Director of National Vocational and Technical Education Commission (NAVTEC) of Pakistan, Zulfiqar Ahmed Cheema visited the Women Vocational Center and Balochistan Rural Development Center here the other day.
He also presided over a meeting there, which was attended by the Director General NAVTEC Balochistan, Abdul Rauf Baloch, Secretary Labour and Manpower, Hamidul Karim, besides other concerned including Zamran Marri, Abdul Manan Gohar, Iqbal Umrani, Asif Jamaldini, Noor Ahmed Raees and others.
Addressing the meeting, the Executive Director of NAVTEC said that Balochistan is the most important province of the country.
It is the area-wise largest province of the country. However, it’s population is the least and scattered, he mentioned. The lack of human resource in the province is the basic reason behind it’s backwardness, he regretfully pointed out.
Still, the federal government is taking steps to remove the educational backwardness from the province, Zulfiqar Ahmed Cheema said.
He underlined the need to impart technical education to the youth so that they get skills and thus may play their role in development and prosperity of their province and the country.
He said that it is special directive of the Prime Minister, Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif to adopt special measures for making the youth of Balochistan skilled. It would help them get jobs and thus earn respectable livelihood, he believed.
