HDP for giving full powers to Local Bodies institutions

QUETTA: Hazara Democratic Party (HDP) has demanded of the concerned authorities to ensure grant of powers to the Local Bodies institutions in the province.
In a statement issued here by the Party, it was stated that the Local Bodies system was introduced to resolve the issues of people at the grass root level and give rights to the people. If the problems are being resolved in other provinces it is because of devolution of power at the lower level and that to the LB institutions, it was stated.
However, in Balochistan, merely hollow slogans are being raised in this regard, but practically it is not being done here.
This shows that the provincial government is not serious in devolution of power to the local governments, it was alleged.
It was stressed to give full powers to the local governments so that they are able to resolve issues of the people.
In the end, the HDP also termed the killing of 13 persons during local bodies elections in Khairpur as a matter of concern for the Sindh government.
