Religio-political parties condemn incidents of target killing in metropolis

QUETTA: The provincial leaders of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) have strongly condemned the recent incidents of target killing in Quetta city.
In a joint statement issued here, the N-leaders Naseebullah Bazai, Malik Khuda Bakhsh Lango, Fareed Afghan, Hashim Barech and Farooq Younsafzai said that the recent incidents of target killing are condemnable.
They said that those involved and behind the incidents wanted to sabotage the peace of Quetta city once again. However, they would not succeed in their nefarious designs at all, they said.
They demanded of the concerned authorities to take strict notice of the terrorism incidents. They also demanded to take the killers and their perpetrators to task giving them exemplary punishment.
Meanwhile, the office bearers of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Nazrayati (JUI-N) Qari Mehrullah, Dr. Muhammad Anwar, Syed Abdul Wahab Agha, Nasruddin Kakar and others have also strongly condemned the incidents of target killing in different parts of the city during last week.
They said that the provincial government is merely making false claims regarding maintenance of law and order and its writ, but on ground, nothing is being done, they charged.
They also said that the life of citizens has become miserable due to the target killings and environment of uncertainty prevailing due to the recent incidents.
They also charged that it is responsibility of the provincial government to provide protection to the life and property of masses, but it seems to have failed in doing so.
Similarly, the leaders of JUI, Maulana Wali Muhammad Turabi, Maulana Muhammad Saleem, Maulana Habibullah Mengal and others have also slammed the government for its failure to protect life and property of the general public.
In a joint statement, they said that the recent incidents have exposed the claims of provincial government regarding law and order.
They asked the government to take effective security measures to maintain law and order.
They asserted that no one would be allowed to play with lives of the common men.
Similar views were expressed by the Member Provincial Assembly belonging to Awami National Party (ANP), Engineer Zamarak Khan Achakzai. In a statement, Achakzai charged that the government has miserably failed in protecting life and property of the people.
He said that the incidents of target killings and kidnappings are becoming matter of routine. The government should take immediate notice of the law and order situation and adopt solid measures for protection of the people.
