US, Germany Extend Condolences for Earthquake Victims

Islamabad, September 25 (Online): – U.S and German ambassadors to the country have extends condolences to the families who lost loved ones during the earthquake in western Pakistan


US Ambassador Richard G. Olson in a statement said, „Our thoughts are with the injured and those who have lost so much in this tragedy.

We are closely monitoring the situation. The United States stands ready to assist the people of Pakistan“, he said.
German Ambassador Dr. Cyrill Nunn in a separate statement said, “I am deeply saddened by the huge loss of life and the suffering caused by the terrible earthquake in the province of Balochistan yesterday.

On behalf of the German people and Government, I wish to convey our sincere condolences to the people and the Government of Pakistan and to the families of the many people who have lost their lives or are still missing. Our thoughts in these hours are with the families and friends of the victims and the many injured. I hope that large numbers of those still missing will be rescued and found safe and well.

The German Government stands ready to make its contribution to supporting the efforts of the Pakistani authorities to cope with the severe humanitarian consequences of this natural disaster.”
