Zhob district: Over 63,000 children to be vaccinated against polio

QUETTA: Over 63,000 children would be administered the anti-polio vaccine during the forthcoming polio immunization campaign in Zhob district.
This was informed in a meeting chaired by the Deputy Commissioner, Zhob, Nazar Muhammad Khetran the other day. Those who were in attendance were included Chairman District Council, Sheikh Muhammad Yousaf, Deputy Chairman, Qazi Ahmed Khosti, Chairman Municipal Committee, Abdul Saleem Mandokhail, Deputy Chairman, Naseeb Khan Nasser, Assistant Commissioner, Ali Ejaz, besides other concerned officials and representatives of various departments.
The Deputy Commissioner said that polio is a fatal disease and as such collective efforts should be made to eradicate this disease from the province.
He urged the parents to ensure vaccination of their children below five years of age.
No negligence would be tolerated on part of those part of the campaign whatsoever, he asserted adding that the personnel of the health department found careless in the campaign would also be taken to task.
