QUETTA: Speaker Balochistan Assembly, Ms. Rahila Hameed Durrani has stressed that all the elected representatives of Quetta would have to strive together to resolve the issues of Quetta city.
He stated so while speaking on occasion of handing over of heavy motorcycles to the Quetta Traffic Police at the Provincial Assembly the other day. The motorcycles handed over to the Senior Superintendent of Police (Traffic), Hamid Shakeel cost Rs. 6 million for the funds were provided from the MPA Fund of Ms. Rahila Durrani.
DSP Traffic Muhammad Javed and other officials of the Traffic Police were present on the occasion.
Ms. Durrani said that the Quetta city is facing the issues of traffic, environmental pollution, water supply, poor sanitation, cleanliness, lack of parking and parks.
She said that there is a dire need to make collective efforts to resolve the emerging civic issues of the city. Particularly major responsibility rests with the shoulders of the elected representatives belonging to Quetta, maintaining she stressed.
She also hailed the vision of the new Chief Minister, Nawab Sanaullah Zehri for addressing the civic issues. She hoped that the issues would be resolved accordingly in time to come.
Meanwhile, the SSP Traffic thanked the Speaker for providing the heavy motorcycle to the Traffic Police. The Traffic Police would do its best to manage traffic in the metropolis.
