Govt. to hold Local Bodies Convention in Sibi, announces Chief Minister

QUETTA: The Balochistan government has decided to hold the Local Bodies Convention as part of the annual Sibi Festival in Sibi.
This was stated by the Chief Minister, Balochistan, Nawab Sanaullah Zehri while talking to a delegation of representatives of the Local Bodies here the other day.
The Chief Minister mentioned that while we would also participate in the Sibi Festival, the Prime Minister, Muhammad Nawaz Sharif would also be invited to attend the festival.
The members of delegation hailed the announcement made by the Chief Minister Balochistan about holding of the LB Convention.
Needless to mention here is that the historic LB Convention, which otherwise was regular feature of the annual Sibi Festival, was not being held for last few years.
The representatives of the Local Bodies used to participate in the Convention. The issues of the Bodies were used to discuss with the focus on resolving them.
Meanwhile, a meeting was held to review arrangements of the annual Sibi Festival in Sibi a couple of days back.
The Deputy Commissioner Sibi, Noorul Haq Kakar chaired the meeting.
The Commandant FC’s 89 Wing, Colonel Waqas, District Police Officer, Mir Muhammad Anwar Khetran, Chairman Municipal Committee, Dawood Khan Rind, District and Education Officer (Female), Ms. Salma Atta Khajak, Excise and taxation Officer, Deedar Ali Jamali, Principal Government Degree Girls College, Ms. Shahida Nawaz, Social Welfare Officer, Khan Muhammad Rind, Principal Technical Training Center, Abdul Ghafoor Marri, Deputy Director Livestock department, Dr. Jan Muhammad Safi, Deputy Director Agriculture (Extension), Younas Bangulzai, District Health Officer, Dr. Manzoor Baloch, Medical Superintendent of District Headquarter Hospital Sibi, Dr. Syed Ghulam Sarwar Hashmi, Deputy Director Population Welfare, Ghulam Mustafa Hanbhi and other senior officials of different concerned departments.
The Deputy Commissioner said that the provincial government has decided to observe the annual Sibi festival this year in befitting manner. The President as well as Prime Minister and Chief Ministers of all the four provinces and other dignitaries are expected to participate in the Festival.
Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner directed to all the concerned to start preparations of the Annual Sibi Festival to be held in last week of February 2016.
All the concerned departments should make arrangements of the guests participating in the Festival, he directed further.
He said that the necessary work of renovation and repair of the government buildings would be started soon.
Noorul Haq Kakar also directed to complete the work of repair of the mosque in first phase so that those participating in the Festival may not face any issue with regard to offer their prayers.
Certain new programmes would also be included for recreation of the general public during the Festival, he announced. The horse and cattle show, musical show, meena bazaar and other activities would be the part of the Sibi Festival like the past, he maintained.
