QUETTA jan 24 (PPI): President MIlli Yekjehti Council Balochistan Abdul Mateen Akhndzada has expressed concern over not implementation of Supreme Court order of enforcing Urdu as official language and failure of Balochistan government in this regard despite lapse of four months.
He said here Sunday that Chief Justice Supreme Court Justice Jawad S Khwaja had ordered for enforcing Urdu as official language, translation of all laws in Urdu, and all government and Websites in Urdu in September last year. But despite passage of four months provincial government has not taken serious measures for implementation of Supreme Court decision and Article 251 of the constitution.
Akhundzada said China and Japan by developing their languages have made progress. Unfortunately Bureaucracy did not allow promotion of National language Urdu in the country since creation of Pakistan. He said enforcement of national language Urdu should have been done in 1988 but it was not so and the matter was taken to Supreme Court and apex Court ordered for enforcement of national language. But provincial and Federal governments by defying Court orders were committing Contempt of Court.
He demanded of Balochistan chief Minister Nawab Sanaullah Zehri and Chief Secretary Saifullah Chatha to immediately implement Supreme Court order for the enforcement of Urdu.
