Provincial Apex committee to meet in first week of next month

QUETTA: A meeting of the provincial apex committee of Balochistan is scheduled to be held in first week of February 2016.
The sources of the Provincial Home and Tribal Affairs Department told that the apex committee of the province would review implementation on the National Action Plan (NAP) in the province.
The Chief Minister, Nawab Sanaullah Zehri, the Minister Home and Tribal Affairs, Mir Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti as well as the concerned authorities including the civil and military officers would attend the meeting.
The Secretary of the Home Department said that the NAP is being executed in the province in its true letter and spirit. However, certain important decisions would also be made besides reviewing the NAP and discussing its various aspects of the execution to combat terrorism.
Referring to the execution of death sentences in the province, the Secretary mentioned that seven out of 14 prisoners awaiting execution on the death sentence during last one year were hanged in the province.
However, implementation on the death sentence of seven condemned prisoners was stopped after the settlement.
The Secretary Home also referred to the security of the educational institutions in Balochistan and said that the same (security) is being intensified.
The decision pertaining to formation of the campus force in the universities has been made for their safety, so it is being formed, he maintained.
The campus force would ensure security in the universities, the Secretary Home mentioned.
