Inter-District Girls Sports Festival: Education plays vital role in development, maintains Secretary

QUETTA: Secretary Education, Abdul Saboor Kakar has stated that education has always played an important role in development and prosperity of the nations, and so it is vital for the province and its people.
He was speaking at a ceremony held at the Girls Guide camp in connection with the annual Sibi Festival the other day. It was also part of the Girls Inter-District Sports Festival.
The girl students of different educational institutions from Sibi, Naseerabad, Bolan, Gawadar, Turbat, Ziarat, Dera Bugti, Noshki and others marched past.
The Commissioner Sibi, Ghulam Ali Baloch and other high ups were also present on the occasion.
Addressing the gathering, the Secretary Education appreciated the performance of participating girls in different events.
He said that it is good to see the young girls demonstrating excellent performance in different items presented on the occasion.
He also applauded the hard work put in by the teachers assisting the girl students in their preparations.
The Commissioner addressed the gathering. He was also appreciative of the performance of the girl students. He said that it was first experience to invite the students from the remote areas to participate in the healthy activities marking the Sibi Festival.
Meanwhile, addressing a meeting held to review preparations for the Sibi Festival, the Deputy Commissioner Sibi, Rehmatullah Gishgori stressed the need to make collective efforts for making the Festival successful.
The Additional Deputy Commissioner, Syed Riaz Hussain Shah, District Police Officer, Muhammad Anwar Khetran, district officers of different concerned departments were in attendance.
The detail of the programmes to be arranged in connection with the Sibi Festival was also presented on the occasion.
The representatives of different departments also briefed the meeting about the arrangements made by them for the Festival.
The Deputy Commissioner directed to all concerned to ensure completion of all preparations well in time.
