Minister takes action against several students on cheating

QUETTA: The Provincial Minister for Education, Abdul Rahim Ziaratwal has categorically stated that no one would be allowed to do cheating and use unfair means in the examinations, and as such anyone found in committing it would be dealt with sternly.
This, he stated while speaking on occasion of surprise visit of the examination centers for the Matriculation examinations here.
Also accompanied with him were the administrative officers of the Education Department including Syed Abdullah Shah, Muteeb Khan, Gul Muhammad Kakar, Haji Ghufran and other concerned.
The Minister said that cheating is a curse and we would have to rid the society of it.
The Education department would not let any one to deprive the talented and eligible students of their due right in the examinations nor it would allow any one to progress on the basic of cheating and safarish instead of one’s hard work and ability, he asserted.
The Minister on the occasion inspected the process of examinations going on in the examination centers established in the Islamia High School, Technical Model School, Special High School, St. Joseph Convent Girls High School, Islamia Girls High School and St. Francis Grammar School.
He cancelled papers of several students on cheating during his inspection. He also directed to take departmental action against the supervisory staff engaged in the examinations relieving them from the duty.
He also expressed his displeasure and anguish over the lack of sitting arrangements as well as proper lighting in the centers.
He issued directives to the concerned high ups to bring improvement in the state of exam arrangements.
He warned that action would be taken against the students as well as the supervisory exam staff in case of any one found involved in cheating.
He also directed to take action against the absentee staff of the Technical Model School seeking an explanation in this regard.
The Minister on the occasion also contacted the district administration and police officers to improve security at the examination centers during the Matriculation examinations.
