QUETTA: The present government is taking revolutionary steps for improvement in education in the province.
This was stated by the District Education Officer, Quetta, Muteeb Khan Afridi while addressing headmasters of the government schools operating in Zarghoon Town, the other day.
Also present on the occasion were the Deputy District Education Officer, Zarghoon Town, Syed Abdul Aziz, Assistant District Education Officer, Zarghoon Town, Rustam Khan besides other concerned.
He said that the government is determined to impart quality education to the students. It is also endeavouring to increase enrolment of the students in the province including Quetta, he maintained.
The school admission campaign has already been launched in Quetta like other parts of the province so as to get out of the school children in the schools, he mentioned.
An awareness drive is also in progress in order to create needed awareness among the general public about importance of education so that the parents are convinced to get their children to schools voluntarily, he stressed.
In this regard, walk and seminar has also been arranged, he added.
The District Education Officer urged the parents and teachers to play their wholehearted part in the school admission campaign expediting it.
He also said that an education emergency is enforced in the province. He said that action would be taken against the parents not admitting their children in schools under the school admission campaign and the law.
He also stressed that the heavy responsibility rests with the shoulders of influential persons and religious leaders to ensure admission of the children in their respective areas and adjoining localities.
The headmasters of the schools on the occasion also raised the issues being faced by them. The District Education Officer gave a patient hearing to the issues and assured to resolve them.
