Chairman BISE inspects examination centers in different schools

QUETTA: The Chairman Balochistan Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Quetta, Professor Siraj Ahmed Kakar has categorically stated that all available resources are being mobilized for making the examination process clean and transparent.
This, he stated while speaking to the teachers and the examination staff during his visit to the examination centers established in different educational institutions including the Sacred Heart Girls High School, St. Joseph Convent Girls High School, St. Francis Grammar School and Taameer-e-Nau Public College, here.
He said that we are determined to eliminate cheating from the examinations. In this regard, we would need cooperation of the teachers and the examination staff at the examination centers.
He expressed the government’s resolve to put an end to the tendency of cheating and use of unfair means in the examinations.
He warned that stern action would be taken against those exam staff committing negligence in their responsibilities.
He said that we should provide the students conducive environment to appear in the examinations and excel on merit.
Referring the government’s initiatives taken for prevention of cheating, he said that certain measures have been taken to ensure it.
All the candidates have been warned not to carry such material in the examination along with them, which may help in cheating. In case of violation, stern action would be taken.
Meanwhile, the candidates have been asked to always carry their original roll number slips. The same (slips) should not be submitted to the superintendent of examination at all, it has been directed to the candidates.
The roll number slips of all the candidates would be checked during the theory examination.
It may be mentioned here that the annual examinations of Matriculation / Secondary School Certificate are in progress these days.
Over 100,000 students are appearing in the examinations all over the province including Quetta district. While at present, the 9th class examinations are continued, examination of Part-II (10th class) would be held in second phase commencing from March 12.
The examination staff comprising some 900 employees is made available to perform the exam duties in the centers, the sources maintained.
Moreover, the raiding teams comprising 200 staff members have also been formed to monitor the process of examinations.
The Part-I examination would remain continued till March 11, the Part-II examination would conclude on March 24, 2016.
At termination of the theory, the practical examination would start for both the parts (9th and 10th classes).
The practical examination of the 9th class would start on March 11 and would remain continued till March 24, 2016.
While on the other hand, the practical examination of 10th class would commence from March 25, it would terminate on April 6, 2016.
