HQ: A petition was filed in the Sindh High Court (SHC) on Monday against Pakistan T20 captain Shahid Khan Afridi over his remarks of getting more love in India than in Pakistan.

Amir Nawaz, a practicing lawyer, took Pakistan Cricket Board, Secretary Sports and Afridi to the SHC seeking the court's direction to restrain Pakistan's T20 skipper from such negative comments.

The petitioner submitted that Shahid Afridi remarked that he got more love in India than Pakistan but PCB did not initiat any action against him. “Shahid Afridi has no right to express such comments at international level. My sentiments were hurt due to Afridi's remarks,” the petitioner added.

The court was requested to direct PCB and sports secretary to take action against Afridi and restrain him from such comments in the future.

“I have always enjoyed playing in India; We (Pakistani cricketer) have got lots of love in India, We haven't got as much love even in Pakistan,” Afridi stated while addressing a press conference in Kolkata, India ahead of world T20 2016.
