Snake-dog bite cases' vaccination starts in five hospitals

The snake and dog bite cases' vaccination facility has been started in five public sector healthcare centers of Karachi, an official at health department told PPI on Friday.

Director, Health Services Karachi, Dr Shakoor Abbasi on the directive of Provincial Health Minister Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar have provided the Anti-Snake Venom Serum (ASVS) and Anti-Rabies Vaccine in five hospitals of Karachi including Sindh Government Hospital Korangi, Sindh Government Hospital New Karachi, Sindh Government Hospital Ibrahim Haideri, Rural Health Center Gadap and Rural Health Center Malir.


The vaccination is free of cost which will help save precious lives. ASVS facility is already available in Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center. The dog bite cases are also treated in Civil Hospital Karachi and Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center.
