QUETTA Apr 15 (PPI): Balochistan is strong part o Pakistan with long coastal belt, unique geographical location and precious minerals. Economic Corridor project has also increased its importance and big powers of the world have focused their eyes on this province.
This was stated by Balochistan Chief Minister Nawab Sanaullah Zehri while speaking with 21 st Mid career Management course participants her e Friday.
While briefing course Chief Minister said that a peaceful, literate and prosperous Balochistan is our objective for which all measures were being adopted.
He said n one is big neither Baloch than us nor bigger Pashtoon than Dr Hamid Achakzai. Parties included in coalition government are committed to develop Balochistan. We are bringing youth back from mountains and providing them employments so that they lead a dignified life. We have contacted those sitting outside several time and invited them to return and take part in parliamentary politics. If people would give them mandate we would respect it.
‘ I would once again advice them not to play in the hands of enemy. Pakistan is their country. They should return here and do parliamentary politics within framework of Pakistan. It is clear that no one would be allowed to instigate youth of this province by sitting outside and involve din them in acts of terrorism. Government would maintain its writ at all costs,’ Zehri added.
Answering questions asked by the participants Chief Minister said without peace development targets cannot be achieved. Improved law and order situation was being appreciated at every level. It would be improved still better.
He said special attention was being paid to make youth educated and skilled. They are also being provided training in IT sector. Decision of providing 50 thousand laptops to 50 girl and boy students would be implemented soon. A plan has been prepared for providing technical training in different sectors to 20 to 30 thousand youth for getting employment at the industries to be established under sea pack. It would be implemented through Labour Department and B TEVTA project.
Referring to Quetta Nawab Zehri said we are implementing a project to improve Quetta including cleanliness of city, expanding it and perpetual solution of water. A project was being prepared to bring water form River Indus to Quetta and Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has assured for financial assistance for it. We are thankful to him.
He said underground water level in Balochistan particularly in Quetta was depleting very fatly. Government was making legislation for installation of tube well to improve the situation.
Chief Minister said work on M-8 included economic corridor project was underway quite speedily which work was also underway on other road projects. Six Industrial zones are being established under economic Corridor project.
He said education and health sectors are part of our priorities and budget for these sectors has been increased several folds. Three new medical Colleges, three universities and seven cadet colleges have been setup. With Punjab government cooperation modern cardiac institute was being established in Quetta.
