CM visits special economic zone industrial park in Shangai

QUETTA Apr 25 (PPI): First special economic Zone industrial park was laid in collaboration with China and Singapore in 1994 and during past 20 years it has become the largest special economic zone in the world sprawling over 20 square kilometers.
This information as given to Balochistan Chief Minister Nawab Sanaullah Zehri who is currently on five day visit to China at the head of a high level delegation.
His visit is aimed to view special economic zone sin China so that along economic corridor keeping in view Chinese experience special economic zones could be setup in Gwadar, Bostan, Zhob and Khuzdar and other areas of Balochistan.
Chief Minister was told that last year 80 million dollars industrial and commercial goods were prepared.
Chief Minister held a detailed visit of three production plants at the park.
He also held detailed meeting with Industrial park officials and exchanged views with them on establishing special economic zones in Balochistan.
Apprising them Chief Minister informed of possibilities in the fields of minerals, energy, fishery, agriculture, livestock and other sectors and said that Pak China economic corridor project has increased importance of Balochistan and in this context foreign investors would take benefit from special economic zones in the province.
Mayor Municipal Government of Chinese province Jiang So hosted a dinner for chief minister and members of his delegation. It was also attended by Chinese investors.
Chief Minister invited mayor and Chinese investors to Balochistan visit which they accepted. It would soon visit Balochistan.
Earlier Chief Minister and his delegation travelled by high speed bullet train from Shangai to Sozhao. It runs at a speed of 300 Km per hour. Train completed this journey in 19 minutes.
Nawab Zehri also visited Higar Bus Company limited and inspected buses prepared by the company for Quetta Mass Transit Train system shutter bus service.
He also inspected SJEC Corporation which is one of the biggest companies for preparing lifts and escalators.
