QUETTA Apr 28 (PPI): China Pakistan Economic Corridor Gwadar to Kashgar project will not only change fate of Pakistan but of entire region.
This is the biggest investment out of country in history of China. This mega project would boost economic and commercial activities sin the area and exports world get new markets. Besides this mega project would make historic headway of coordinating two ends of the world.
These views were expressed by Balochistan Governor Muhammad Khan Achakzai while speaking with trainee officers of Pakistan Navy War College Lahore here Thursday.
Secretary Finance Mushtaq Raisani, Secretary P&D Muhammad Hashim, Principal Secretary to Governor Abdul Jaffar and Additional Secretary Home Muhammad Tayyab Lehri were also present.
Members of delegation asked questions about ongoing development project, China Pakistan Economic Corridor, security problems, law and order situation and different aspects of Balochistan. Governor gave answers to these questions in detail.
Governor said Balochistan can provide land route from Central Asia and start of this mega project for the whole of region is Balochistan. He said completion of China Pakistan economic Corridor project would benefit Balochistan in large. People would get employment and business avenues and there will be immense increase in overall economic and commercial activities.
Pakistan he added accords great importance to this project and was striving for its early completion. This is proof we were forwarding our policies in the context of Asia Cooperation with success.
He said Balochistan population is small but area and resources are bigger. There are vast opportunities of development in different sectors of Balochistan and there is need for foreign investment to exploit precious mineral and other resources. He said law and order in basic need of the region. He hoped that that China Pakistan economic Corridor is guarantee for development, prosperity and stability in the region.
He said Balochistan has its borders with Afghanistan and Iran. Establishing control along the long border is difficult. In view of efforts of present government we can say situation along the borders has not only improved but there has been great success about establishing law and order and elimination of terrorists.
Governor Achakzai said present government was making serious endeavours to remove backwardness of the province particularly during three years it has launched multidimensional and meaningful development process.
