LHWs protest for regularization: Threaten to boycott polio campaign

QUETTA, September 27 (Online): Lady Health Workers of Balochistan staged protest for regularization and warned the government that they would not take part in anti-polio campaign on 30th Sept, if their demands are not fulfilled in ten-days.

The LHWs took protest rally, under the Ladies Health Employees Union, from Civil Hospital on Friday in which scores of health workers participated.

They raised slogans in favour of the LHWs for the demand of their regularization.

On the occasion the office bearers while addressing strongly criticized the government and claimed that despite orders of Supreme Court the provincial government and bureaucracy did not issue summary of their regularization.

They further claimed that approximately 6,720 Lady Health Workers are performing their duties in Balochistan and scores of martyred during polio immunization campaign.

Despite sacrifices of lady health workers live no one pay heed towards their woos and they decided to boycott from polio campaign.

They also staged sit in for two hours due to which the traffic was grid locked due to which the citizens were in dire difficulties.

Meanwhile, they demanded from authority concern to pay heed towards their problem so that they would get some relief.

The rally was went to different avenue and reached at Hockey Ground Chowk and stages a sit in there.
