Enforcement of Urdu commences at some departments

QUETTA Oct 19 (PPI): Enforcement of Urdu at some provincial government departments began in Balochistan. Services and General Administration Department issued notification for transfer of six Assistant Commissioners in Urdu.

According to details on the orders of former Chief Justice Supreme Court Jawad S Khwaja and Balochistan Chief Secretary Saifullah Chatha Information Science and Technology and S&GAD departments have started routine work and issuance of circulars in Urdu while Education, Population Welfare and Industries Department issued several notifications in English language as usual.

Social and people’s circular while appreciating commencement of enforcement of Urdu language in government offices said secret of nations development lies in their national languages. Enforcement of Urdu is demand of Constitution and with its enforcement poor strata would get rid of sense of inferiority.

They have demanded of Balochistan governor Muhammad Khan Achakzai and Chief Minister Nawab Sanaullah Zehri that according to order of Chief Justice Supreme Court and implementing Article 251 of the Constitution order should be issued immediately for enforcement of Urdu at all the provincial departments, Balochistan University, Public Service Commission and Balochistan Assembly.
