Balochistan Apex Committee meeting held
QUETA, Oct 26 (APP): A meeting of Apex Committee of Balochistan held with Chief Minister Balochistan, Nawab Sanaullah Khan Zehri, here on Wednesday and decided to set up an inquiry commission to conduct probe into act of terrorism took place at Police Training Center Quetta.
The commission will comprise of senior officials of law enforcement agencies.The meeting was attended by Commander Southern Command, Lt-General. Aamir Riaz, Home Secretary, Mir Sarfaraz Bugti, Chief Secretary Balochistan, Saifullah Chattha, IG Police Balochistan, Ahsan Mehboob, IG Frontier Corps Balochistan, Maj-General. Sher Afgun and other officials.
The departments concerned briefed the committee about current law and order situation and security measures to ensure security in Quetta and other parts of the province.
The meeting decided that a new strategy and policy would be carved out to prevent suicide bomb blasts and acts of terrorism in the province. It was decided that integration between Pak Army and Police Force would further be strengthened and under Pak Army, refresher courses of Police would be arranged for capacity building of Police.
The committee emphasized the need to increase morale of police. It urged all security forces and law enforcement agencies to improve their performance to meet current challenges pertaining to law and order.
