GWADAR Nov 30 (PPI): If we have to make CPEC success we have to end deprivation of Balochistan particularly people of Gwadar.

This was stated by Chairman Senate Standing Committee on Cabinet Secretariat Muhammad Talha Mahmood while distributing 300 sewing machines among skilled poor women at District Council Hall here.

Executive chairman CPEC Council Beijing was also present along with his delegation. Nine member Chinese Group appreciated measures of Senator Muhammad Talha Mahmood Foundation for poor people of Pakistan.

It is added here that Chairman Senate Committee on Cabinet Secretariat was also running a welfare organisation with aim to serve poor masses of the country. Distribution of sewing machines among skilled women was part of this programme.

Senator Talha Mahmood said that per capita income in Pakistan is very small so our women have also to work shoulder to shoulder with their men to meet their domestic expense. In backward areas of our country women are not allowed to go out of homes and thus Foundation was distributing sewing machines among skilled women so that they could start work within their homes and lead a dignified life along with their men.

About CPEC Senator Talha Mahmood said that it is not name of only a road. It would not only change fate of Pakistan and China but of entire region. It would open u new vistas of development and people would get employments.

Later he and his delegation visited New Gwadar Airport and reviewed work being carried out there.

He also visited Gwadar Institute of Technology where Principal Col Shoaib briefed them on different sections of the Institute. Senator Talha Mahmood appreciated measures of Government of Balochistan about education.
