IG KP terms terrorism biggest problem

PESHAWAR, September 28 (Online): Khyber Pakhtunkhwa new Inspector General Police, Nasir Durrani has asserted that the gravest problem of the province is terrorism that is mostly being launched from FATA.
Durrani expressed these views in a press conference here on Saturday.
He appreciated that the provincial government assured not to interfere in police affairs, adding he hoped that merit-based recruitment will tremendously enhance efficiency and performance of department.
IG further added that those police personnel found involved in criminal activities would necessarily face the music.
“Setting of CCTV cameras, employment of trained security guards in private organizations must be ensuredâ€, said IG KP.
He maintained that peace is inevitable in the province for good governance.
It is worth-mentioning that Inspector General, Nasir Durrani has been appointed as new IG police in KP after the tragic incident of Church attack but few days after his appointment, another untoward incident of government-officials’ bus attack happened in the same city.
